Apres-Ski / Nightlife
After
a dramatic remodeling and revitalization, the slopeside Derailer
Bar and its deck are the place to be for apres-ski.
The
Pub is best described as "hardcore local," while Mirasol Cantina, a Mexican spot, is a good happy hour locale with two-for-one
drinks and $1.50 tacos from 46 p.m.
For sports events, go to Deno's Mountain Bistro with half-a-dozen TVs, plus more than 100 types of beer and 200 wines. Doc’s Roadhouse is a tavern/restaurant on the ground level of Zephyr Mountain Lodge at the base of the slopes, with two outdoor decks for drinks and dining on sunny days.
The Untamed Steakhouse
at Wildcreek frequently has live musicthis place really
moves after 10 p.m. You can play pool here too. Randi's Irish
Saloon also features live music that draws the dancing crowd
after dinner.
For a quiet drink without
the loud music, head to Five Mountain Tavern in the Vintage Hotel
or Eichler's. The Sushi Bar offers terrific two-for-one sushi roll specials during happy hour.
Diehards using public transportation, take note: After midnight, the free shuttle service is finished, but Home James (726-5060) has taxi service available until 2 a.m. |
